What if my kids don’t behave?
They’re not meant to! I don’t expect perfect posing or stillness—your children can be themselves. We’ll play, explore, and let the session flow around their energy. Some of the most honest and beautiful moments come from the unexpected.

When is the best time for a session?
I always recommend shooting during golden hour—either in the first hour after sunrise or the hour before sunset. The light during these times makes all the difference. It’s soft, golden, and flattering, bringing warmth and depth to your images in a way that midday light simply can’t.

What happens if it rains?
I keep a close eye on the forecast, and if the weather turns, we’ll reschedule for the next available day that works.

We’re not very comfortable in front of the camera. Will that be a problem?
Not at all. Most families tell me this at first, and by the end of the session, they’re relaxed and fully in the moment. I’ll tell you exactly what to do, so nothing feels awkward—just natural connection, movement, and love.

I’m Alexandra, a Sydney-based photographer, a mum, and someone who knows just how fast the seasons of family life move.
For over 15 years, I’ve been capturing people through my lens — and after 7 years photographing weddings, it was becoming a mother that shifted everything. The early years with my son were the hardest and the most beautiful. I was there every day, but rarely in the photos. That realisation changed how I saw my work and my purpose in it.
Now, I photograph over 100 families each year and still fall in love with it every time. I’m here to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and truly seen. I’ll gently guide you through every step so you can simply show up, be with your family, and walk away with images that feel like you - and that your children will treasure forever.
